Our purpose is one that we live in everything we do.
From its inception, our Founder, Ted LeNeave, saw one true purpose for his company: to care for others. In selecting a company name, Ted chose the Latin word ‘Accura,’ which means “to care for.”
This purpose is not simply defined as caring for Accura’s residents, but has a large continuum that includes Accura staff and families.
We believe it is the responsibility of Accura to share and build on our purpose among all of our care communities to create the highest quality experience and culture. From the moment a new resident, staff, or family member walks through the doors of any Accura community, our true purpose is on display at every turn.
