I had been taking care of my mom full-time for 10 years and due to her failing mobility, I was no longer able to do that at home. We were fortunate that Accura HealthCare of Cherokee had a bed for her. I know we were both scared of the unknown. Many staff were comforting and reassuring. I have so much appreciation for all of you in choosing this field to work in. I know it's not easy and we all have daily struggles in our personal lives. I am thankful each day to see all of your faces. I think you all know that my mom is 102, thanks to all of your care, she just might see her 103rd birthday.

When I first came here, my doctor sent me because I was very sick and could hardly walk. I was even put on hospice care. But the staff here have been incredibly caring and encouraging, though they did have to boss me around a bit, which I’ll admit I needed! They really helped me get back on my feet. The staff make it fun to be here, and the food is great! One of the most memorable moments for me was when I got discharged from hospice care. I can walk all over now, and I’m doing it all by myself! I never thought I would go back home, but thanks to all the care and encouragement I received here, I’m heading back to my own place. If anyone is considering joining this community, I would tell them it’s a wonderful place with caring staff and great food. It truly has changed my life.
All the staff members from the bookkeeping to CNAs were fantastic to work with during Harold's stay. He enjoyed all of the staff, the activities, the meals, and the hairdresser. It is the best nursing home in Cherokee. The most caring and professional staff.
My husband Michael was a resident for a year and a half before he passed in late February. He was so content and happy with Accura. The staff took such good care of him and treated him with respect and kindness. He never and I mean never had a complaint. It gave me such comfort to know he was being cared for by such kind and loving people. Thank you.
My wife Dee has been here for two years. She enjoys it here and I enjoy coming out to visit her here. They have activities like bingo and my wife has musical therapy and they also have church services which we enjoy. Everyone knows you by name and treats you like family and are all very enjoyable to be around.
